Waltons Stores and Promissory Estoppel: The 25th Anniversary (ADVERTISEMENT)

UTS:Law in collaboration with the Journal of Equity will be holding a conference on the afternoon of** Friday, 20 September 2013** to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the High Court’s judgment in _Waltons Stores (Interstate) Ltd v Maher (1988) 164 CLR 387. _

The conference will explore the scope, influence and controversies of Waltons Stores and the place of promissory estoppel in domestic and international private law. Speakers include: Prof Michael Bryan (Melbourne), Prof Joe Campbell QC (Sydney), Prof Ben McFarlane (UCL) and Prof Andrew Robertson (Melbourne).
