Danielle Sirmai Memorial Award
17/07/2013

The Danielle Sirmai Memorial Award is being established at the University of New South Wales Law School. Danielle was a senior associate at Herbert Smith Freehills and well known and much loved by many at the New South Wales Bar. She was a rising star in the legal profession, especially in international commercial arbitration and private international law. She tragically passed away in December 2012 following a short illness with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 33. The award will provide financial support to one UNSW law student each year to undertake either an internship or course of study with an organisation/institution located outside Australia that focuses on international commercial arbitration or private international law. A group of Danielle's friends and family are running the City 2 Surf to raise funds for the Award. Donations can be made here or directly to UNSW. All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
