Refugee legal advice scheme in need of support

Recently, the Bar Association issued a media release condemning the Australian Government’s decision to axe the Refugee Review Tribunal Legal Advice Scheme. Now, the Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) has written to the president of the Bar Association, warning of "funding cuts by stealth", in which the government fails to allocate clients to RACS. The service still has much work to do regarding temporary protection visas and is asking members of the New South Wales Bar to make a donation.
