The Hon Justice DM Price AM, chief judge of the District Court, last month issued Practice Note 1A (Civil) - Case Management in Country Sittings. The Practice Note was published in the NSW Gazette on Friday, 6 April 2018 and commenced on that day.
The Bar Association’s Common Law Committee is interested in monitoring the practical application of Practice Note 1A in relation to country sittings. Members are encouraged to provide their experiences of the Practice Note’s operation to the association’s deputy executive director, Alastair McConnachie.
