Janine Webster Appointed as IRC Commissioner

Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations Dominic Perrottet today announced the appointment of Janine Webster as a new commissioner of the NSW Industrial Relations Commission (IRC).
Mr Perrottet congratulated Ms Webster on her appointment and highlighted the expertise she brings to the position. “Janine has over 16 years experience in the legal field of workplace relations, most recently as the Chief Counsel for the Fair Work Ombudsman, and brings a wealth of practical experience with her,” Mr Perrottet said. “I am delighted Ms Webster has accepted the appointment, and the experience she brings will serve the people of NSW well in this important position.”
Mr Perrottet also announced that Commissioner John Stanton has been re-appointed for a three-year period, hearing matters two days a week, primarily in Newcastle. This appointment will maintain an IRC presence in Newcastle.
Ms Webster will commence her role as commissioner on 3 December 2018.
Commissioner Stanton has been re-appointed in his new capacity for the period 22 October 2018 to 21 October 2021. Click here for the full media release.
