The Hon Murray Wilcox AO QC, former judge of the Federal Court of Australia and former chief justice of the Industrial Relations Court of Australia, died on Thursday, 8 November 2018. Mr Wilcox was admitted to the New South Wales Bar in 1963 and appointed senior counsel in 1977. He was appointed to the Federal Court in 1984 and retired on 22 September 2006, which made him, at that time, the longest-serving judge in the history of the court.
