Affidavit Drafting Skills and Equity Practice Pitfalls: a view from the Bench

Tuesday, 17 February 2026 – in person – 5-6pm

The Practice Development Committee invites barristers to attend a CPD seminar and catered networking event, to which solicitors practising across the breadth of Equity have been invited. This seminar is a unique opportunity to hear The Hon Justice David Hammerschlag, Chief Judge in Equity, discuss the recent debate around direct speech drafting in affidavits and the good and bad of equity practice. The seminar will also provide an opportunity to network with the solicitors who attend as well as other barristers.

Drinks and refreshments will be served during a networking hour after the seminar.

The seminar will be chaired by Brett Le Plastrier.
