Common Law Update 2026

The NSW Bar Association’s Common Law Committee is pleased to invite you to attend its seminar addressing recent developments in the common law. The seminar will cover recent decisions on topics including torts, nuisance, pure-economic loss, novel duties, and principles of damages. It will feature case notes published on the case notes webpage, available through the NSW Bar Association’s Member Dashboard.

The seminar will be presented by David Baran and Dean-Lloyd Del Monte of Jack Shand Chambers and chaired by Hilbert Chiu SC of Tenth Floor Chambers, Deputy Chair of the Common Law Committee. It will be held in-person at 5pm on Thursday, 5 February 2026.
