Kevin Burges, formerly of Seventh Floor, St James Hall Chambers has passed away peacefully on 10 January 2026, aged 96. He was called to the Bar in 1994 and was a reader at the young age of 65. His wisdom, guidance and leadership was highly regarded and valued by the Floor.

Kevin’s life will be celebrated at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Ridge St, North Sydney, on Wednesday the 21st of January at 10am. And afterwards at Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, 33 Peel St, Kirribilli. Anyone who would like to join us would be welcome.
