IBA report: Legal Expenses Insurance and Access to Justice
Law reform and public affairs
The prohibitive cost of legal advice and representation affects access to justice in all jurisdictions, regardless of the level of economic development. The International Bar Association has published a report, Legal Expenses Insurance and Access to Justice, which examines the areas of law, services provided, limits of indemnity and excesses available in countries as varied as Germany, Japan, Australia, England and Wales and South Africa.
