Orders under the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2019

The Minister for Customer Service, Victor Dominello MP has today published two Orders under the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017.

The maximum costs for legal services and maximum fees for medico-legal services have been indexed in line with inflation for the period starting 1 October 2019. You can view the maximum fees and costs that apply from 1 October 2019 on SIRA’s website.

The following indexation orders have also been published on the NSW Legislation website today:

• Motor Accident Injuries (Indexation) Amendment Order 2019 • Motor Accidents (Determination of Non-Economic Loss) Amendment Order 2019
• Motor Accidents Compensation (Determination of Loss) Amendment Order 2019

The Orders commence on 1 October 2019.
