Amendments to the NCAT Rules

New amendments to the Civil and Administrative Rules 2014 (NCAT Rules) came into effect last Friday, 11 October 2019.
The changes are:
Rule 25 External and internal appeals. Rule 25 (4) sets out the timeframes for making an appeal to NCAT. The amendments clarify the period for lodging the appeal is from the day on which reasons are first given, either orally or in writing.
Rule 41 Registrars may make certain interlocutory decisions of Tribunal has been amended to allow certain decisions by Registrars to be made without the need for a hearing.
[Rule 42 Inspections of documents in Registry] (https://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/#/view/regulation/2014/26/part11/rule42 "") has been amended to clarify that sound recordings are excluded from the definition of ‘public access documents’.
