Chairman of Judiciary – National Rugby League

The Australian Rugby League Commission is seeking expressions of interest for appointment to the role of Chairman of the Judiciary of the National Rugby League (NRL).
The NRL Rules provide that the Chairman of the Judiciary must be a person who has served or is qualified for appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court or District Court of any State or Territory of Australia; the Federal Court of Australia; or the High Court of Australia. Persons with judicial experience and an interest and understanding of the game of rugby league are encouraged to apply.
The NRL Telstra Premiership is the pre-eminent rugby league competition in Australia and is played across 26 weeks from March each year. The Chairman’s role is based in Sydney and will require regular attendance at Judiciary hearings in Sydney throughout the 2015 NRL season. Expressions of interest are requested by 14 February 2015.
