Wanted: volunteers for Indigenous Law Students' Day

As part of its Reconciliation Action Plan, the Bar Association will host a visit for all first year Indigenous law students from each law school in NSW. This year the visit is on Wednesday, 25 February, and starts at 9.00am in the common room. The chair of the Indigenous Barristers' Strategy Working Party is seeking volunteers to attend the morning discussion about life as a barrister and then take several students back to chambers. A visit to the Supreme Court starts at 12.15 pm and then there is a lunch in the common room.

The objective is to demonstrate to the new law students the role of barristers and to encourage them to see the bar as a future career option.
