Hicks v The United States of America

The United States Court of Military Commission Review has published its opinion in the matter of _Hicks v The United States of America _ CMCR 13-004, in which the findings of guilty are set aside and dismissed, and the appellant’s sentence is vacated. Attorney-General George Brandis has issued a media release, in which he said: "The type of activities that Mr Hicks has admitted to, including training with al-Qaeda and other terrorist organisations in Afghanistan, would likely now fall within the scope of Australian terrorism laws."
