Workers compensation changes are costing injured workers dearly
06/03/2015

Macquarie University's Centre for Workforce Futures has published its report on the impact which changes to workers compensation laws in June 2012 have had on injured workers. The report finds that reforms have significantly reduced entitlements for injured workers in NSW. It says that:
Since the changes were made there has been a 24% reduction in active compensation claims. More than 5,000 workers have had their income entitlements terminated following the issuing of a work capacity decision notice. At least 20,000 long-term injured workers have lost their entitlement to medical benefits.
