Wanted: judges for the UNSW Law Society Advanced Client Interviewing Competition
17/03/2015

The UNSW Law Society is searching for volunteers to judge the 2015 Advanced Client Interviewing Competition. We recognize that our students’ success and development of their legal skills is a direct result of excellent judging and constructive feedback, and we would greatly welcome and appreciate your input into this year's competition. The competition involves student competitors working in pairs to interview an actor client, with the aim of extracting material facts from the client with a view to properly advising them about their legal rights and remedies. Judging involves scoring two teams consecutively (one hour per team), and providing feedback at the end of each simulated interview for competitors to reflect upon. This critique is both verbal and in the form of a brief written judgement based on established marking guidelines.
Listed below are the dates of Round 1 and Round 2 of the competition this year. Involvement at any or all stages of the competition would be appreciated. For each competition date listed below the round will run from 6-8 pm. The competition is organized at the UNSW Kensington Campus or at your offices if this option is available and more convenient to you. We would be grateful if you could inform us of your availability if your timetable permits. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at advanced.clientinterviewing@unswlawsoc.org."
