CPD tonight: Communicating with Aboriginal Clients and Witnesses
16/04/2015

Although English is the first and main language of Aboriginal people in NSW, subtle dialectal differences have emerged in Aboriginal English over two centuries. The Bar Association and the Law Society of NSW will co-host a CPD seminar, which will focus on some of these differences and their impact on intercultural communication between lawyers, clients and witnesses. "Communicating with Aboriginal clients and witnesses" will be held on tonight at 5.15pm in the Common Room. It will be presented by Dr Diana Eades, sociolinguist, Mr David Pheeney, ALS Bourke, and Sophia Beckett, Forbes Chambers. Learn more here
