For the diary: some great WLA / WBF events in May

The Women Barristers Forum and the WLA will co-host two outstanding events in the month of May. The first, Law as a Career - Coming to the Bar, will be held on Wednesday, 13 May 2015 at 5.30-7.30pm in the Union, University & Schools Club, 25 Bent Street, Sydney. A panel of guest speakers will share their experiences in their respective legal careers, coming to the bar, and directions their careers have taken. Please note: dress codes at the club – no denim.

Guest Speakers: the Hon Justice Melissa Perry, Federal Court of Australia; Theresa Dinh, Sixth Floor Selborne Wentworth Chambers; Katie Malyon, Migration Review Tribunal-Refugee Review Tribunal. The Janet Coombs Lunch for New Female Barristers will be hosted by the Women Barristers Forum & WLANSW on Friday, 15 May 2015 at 1.00-2.00pm at the Law Society of NSW, Level 2, 170 Phillip Street, Sydney. Join the WBF and their distinguished guests for their biannual lunch and meet the new women at the bar. Cost $35pp includes the luncheon, wine & beverages. Bookings are essential to ensure adequate seating and catering. Limited places so please book early and RSVP by 11 May.
