Courts and Crimes Legislation Amendment Bill 2015 (NSW)

The Courts and Crimes Legislation Amendment Bill 2015 (NSW) was introduced into the Legislative Assembly yesterday. Schedule 3 of the bill includes amendments concerning acting judicial officers. The Bar Association has expressed the view that the government should appoint only retired judicial officers, not practising lawyers as acting judges. View yesterday's second reading debate here.
