NSW Government Insurance & Regulation Reform Package

The NSW minister for finance, services and property, Dominic Perrottet, has announced changes to the state's workers compensation scheme. The package of measures are described by the government as "Fair. Sustainable. Customer-centric." Valued at $1 billion, they include: three new organisations to manage the scheme; "increased lump sum and minimum weekly payments, and new financial assistance for return to work, education and retraining"; as well as premium reductions for businesses.
