Bar FC hiccough on the road to the finals
06/08/2015

Today’s outing saw Bar FC matched against the much younger and faster Sydney Business School. Still smarting from the 3-1 hiding we handed out to the Business School when last we met, a much improved Business School side scored a goal at the ten minute mark in the first half.
The tenacity of Bar FC’s defence line, ably led by Phillips who was continually putting his body on the line, aided by Gyles SC, Vickers and Covell, and with the usual stand out goal keeping abilities of Harris, saw the Bar hold the Business School to their single goal for the rest of the match. This was despite it seeming as if the majority of the game was played in the wrong half of the field for us.
A return to the side of our inspirational Patchaldhino playing up front rallied the Bar team up front, with the handy footwork of Maghami, Jordan and Larish proving a competent striking force whenever we did get the ball out of the midfield and up to the forwards. Today also saw the return to the Bar Team of Habib SC, who proved very handy in the Centre Midfield.
Bar FC is now coming third in the Domain competition and still well placed for a finals berth. Our squad today consisted of:
- Nicole Compton
- Mahmoud Mandoh
- Geoff O’Shea

- Darren Covell
- Ivan Griscti
