Property crime down, drug offences up - BOCSAR Quarterly Update for June 2015

03/09/2015

The Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) has released the NSW Recorded Crime Statistics Quarterly Update for June 2015. The War on Drugs continues apace - or is failing, depending on what construction is put on rising offences involving the use and possession of illegal drugs; particularly cocaine and amphetamine-type substances. Most concerning is that use/possess amphetamines in NSW has been rising at nearly 30 per cent per year since the 2009-10 financial year.
