01/02/2016

A key component of the Federal Court’s implementation of the National Court Framework (NCF) has been the review of the court’s duty system is to ensure a nationally consistent system that provides timely and proactive responses to urgent duty matters, with a "direct to chambers" approach.
The National Duty System commences on 1 February 2016. The key features of the system are: - Dedicated Commercial & Corporations NPA Duty Judge & General Duty Judge; - Direct-to-chambers approach which allows practitioners to liaise directly with the chambers of the duty judge about an urgent case; and - Specialist assistance for Self-represented litigants.
Further information about the National Duty System is available on the court’s website.
