The first Bushwalk of the year will take place on Sunday, 24 March 2024. The walk will be in the Royal National Park from Waterfall Train Station to Sutherland Train Station via Audley Weir. It is a well known walk with a length of 18 km and is a medium length and moderate walk. The walk will start at 9.30am and for those coming by train, the 8.07am train from Central arrives at Waterfall at 9.06am. Please bring water, lunch and a hat.
The other planned walks for later on in the year as follows:
Saturday, 22 June 2024 – Blue Gum Forest. From Hat Hill, Blackheath, to Mt Hay Road, Leura via Grose Valley. It is a long and challenging walk at 24 km long and an absolute upper Blue Mountains classic.
Sunday, 22 September 2024 – Devil’s Hole. From start of Six Foot Track via Nellies Glen, Katoomba. It is a medium length, 9km loop with one challenging part but a quirky upper Blue Mountains favourite.
Sunday, 17 November 2024 – Otford Train Station to Bundeena Ferry/Cronulla Train Station. The Royal NP Coastal Walk for 27 kms and a long and moderate walk. A Sydney classic in reverse (South to North) and to meet at Central Train Station for trip to Otford Train Station.
