Harmony Week 18-24 March 2024

07/03/2024

Harmony Week is celebrated annually during the week of the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

Harmony Week is a time to celebrate Australian multiculturalism. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

The colour orange was chosen to represent Harmony Week, as it traditionally signifies social communication and meaningful conversations, and relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect. Australians can choose to wear something orange during Harmony Week to show support for cultural diversity and an inclusive Australia.
