Trans-Tasman Human Rights Conference- 12-13 August 2024

The Trans Tasman Human Rights conference is all set and ready to go for this year in Queenstown NZ: 12-13 August 2024

The conference has speakers from four human rights act jurisdictions (NZ, ACT, Qld and Victoria) and NSW. It will provide attendees with an unparalleled opportunity to hear how human rights law is working in HR statute states and those in NSW wishing to pursue human rights issues.

The conference chairs are from NZ (as host) and Kylie Evans SC from Victoria (representing Australia).

Speakers include: Chief Justice Winkelman (NZ Supreme Court), Chief Justice Debbie Mortimer, Justice of Appeal Kris Walker, former Justice of Appeal Pamela Tate KC, Prof Paul Rishworth KC (NZ), Andrew Butler KC (NZ), Saul Holt KC (Qld), Justice Chrissa Loukas-Karlsson (ACT) and our very own from NSW: Justice Kristina Stern, Tony McAvoy SC and Craig Lenehan SC.
