National Sorry Day - 26 May 2024
24/05/2024

Diversity
Every year on 26 May, National Sorry Day acknowledges the mistreatment of First Nations people and the forced removal and relocation of First Nations children from their families and communities during The Stolen Generations. National Sorry Day commemorates the handing down of the Bringing them Home Report following the National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families. National Sorry Day acknowledges the strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors and invites the wider community to reflect on the role they can play in reconciliation and truth-telling.
