In-person – Friday, 14 June 2024
The NSW Bar Association’s First Nations Committee and The Indigenous Barristers’ Trust The Mum Shirl Fund are jointly hosting the First Nations Pathways to the Bar event on Friday, 14 June 2024. The event will be held in the Association’s Common Room from 5-7pm.

Justice Louise Taylor of the ACT Supreme Court will be providing a keynote address, before being joined on a panel by Andrew Smith (First Nations barrister, Fourth Floor Selborne Chambers) and Merinda Dutton (First Nations author and senior lawyer with Legal Aid NSW). The formalities will be followed by networking, with catering provided.
The event will provide an opportunity for First Nations law students and lawyers to meet NSW judges and barristers, and to learn about the programs and initiatives of the First Nations Committee and the Trust which aim to increase the number of First Nations barristers practising at the NSW Bar.
