Message from the Chief Justice regarding available hearing dates in the Common Law Division

Due to a number of recent settlements, hearing dates have become available in the period August to December 2024. Cases being managed in the Professional Negligence and Long Matters Lists may be allocated dates in that period.

Further, practitioners who either have a case in those Lists that has already been allocated a hearing date in 2025 but wish to have the matter heard in 2024 or have cases that would be suitable for a 2024 hearing date, should contact the chambers of Justice Cavanagh at chambers.cavanaghJ@courts.nsw.gov.au to arrange to have the matter listed for directions and the allocation of a hearing date in 2024.
