Today: Bathurst Lecture 2024

The Commercial Law Section will hold the 2024 Bathurst Lecture at 5.30pm on Thursday, 12 September 2024 in the Banco Court. The lecture will be delivered by ACCC Commissioner Liza Carver, who is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading competition law and regulatory specialists, and chairs the ACCC’s Enforcement Committee. Commissioner Carver will address the following topic: ‘Modern centrality of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 in the regulation of commercial conduct'.
The Bathurst Lecture is named after the Hon T F Bathurst AC QC, former Chief Justice of New South Wales, and is held each year in the Banco Court on a topic of commercial law. This lecture will be held in person. Registration is not required.
