Bar FC holds a determined Sydney Business School

Earlier today NSW Bar FC held a young and fit Sydney Business School (SBC) to a gutsy and gritty one all draw.

SBC shot to an early lead in the opening minutes when their 1.85 metre tall striker made his intentions clear – shooting at every opportunity. He was quickly marked by d’Arville under the wise direction of Gyles SC and between the two of them (ably supported by O’Shea, Covell and Mahony) any further threat to Vickers’s goal was tamed.

The midfield worked hard under 26 degree temperatures and their efforts were rewarded when Canceri’s somewhat innocuous chip shot was fumbled into the back of the net. Spurred on by its goal, Bar FC peppered SBC’s half for the last five minutes and were unlucky not to take all three points. Player of the match was Mahony who in her season debut demonstrated the determination and courage for which she is legendary.
