Application fees in the AAT

Fees payable in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for certain types of applications are due to increase.

From 1 July 2014 the standard application fee that may be payable will be $861. The lower application fee payable for lodging an application that will be dealt with in the Small Taxation Claims Tribunal will be $85. There is no change to the $100 fee that is payable if a person is eligible to pay a reduced fee rather than a standard application fee.

Pursuant to regulation 19A of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Regulations 1976, application fees increase every two years to take into account changes in the Consumer Price Index.
