National Initiative to Develop Female Leaders in the Legal Sector - Advanced Leadership Program Scholarships
21/07/2014
Two $11,000 scholarships will be awarded by Women and Leadership Australia (WLA) to New South Wales Bar Association members to assist their participation in the Advanced Leadership Program (ALP). Developed by a consortium of educational bodies and industry experts, the ALP is part of a national initiative to increase Australia’s pool of executive level female leaders.
During a career-defining 12 month journey, students accelerate their career progression and become part of an exclusive cohort of exceptional women. Designed in sympathy with the challenges of fulltime employment, the program focuses on applied learning outcomes to quickly optimise leadership capacity. During the program, WLA’s expert coaches work one-on-one with students to assist them to achieve real-time personal and organisational goals. “This program addresses what’s really happening within the leadership pipeline. It’s about identifying and nurturing leadership potential and working together to give women the opportunities they really want.” Suzi Finkelstein – Head of School, Women & Leadership Australia
Registrations are now open for the Semester 2 2014 program. Scholarship applications for the course must be submitted by Friday 1 August 2014.
