Bar FC crush Treasury United 4-0
14/07/2014

Buoyed by the return from Brazil of Magee and David (Patchaldinho) Patch, Bar FC took on Treasury United in a top of the table clash in the Domain Soccer League last Friday.
With Di Michiel and Patchaldinho upfront, supported in midfield by Morrison and Lang, Bar FC looked likely to score. The early pressure paid off and two poacher's goals from Di Michiel in the first half, one from a neat Patchaldinho assist, saw Bar FC lead 2 – nil at half time. Early in the second half the moment the crowd had been waiting for arrived when Patchaldinho met Di Michiel's cross with the outside of the foot, guiding it over the keeper. Saving the best until last, Morrison capped off a fine run with a cracking shot at goal to make it 4 – 0 at the final whistle. At no time did the defensive line led by de Meyrick look in danger of being breached and Vickers in goal ruled his area with the authority of Gandalf the Grey. All players contributed in an excellent team effort.
The win cements NSW Bar FC’s pole position.
