Save the date: UN Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in North Korea: How the UN met the Common Law

On Monday 11 August, a seminar will be held in the Common Room. The seminar will be presented by The Hon M Kirby AC CMG. On 21 March 2013, the United Nations Human Rights Council established the Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to investigate the systematic, widespread and grave violations of human rights in the State to ensure full accountability, in particular, for violations that may amount to crimes against humanity. The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG will speak about his work as Chair of the year-long inquiry. This seminar has been organised by the New South Wales Bar Association’s Human Rights Committee.
