ABA repeats its call for action on Indigenous imprisonment

The president of the Australian Bar Association, Mr Mark Livesey QC, has issued a media release calling on the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to acknowledge and address unacceptable and deteriorating Indigenous imprisonment rates. His comments mark one year since the ABA made a similar announcment, during which time the federal government has cut funding from all Aboriginal Legal Aid services, which only compounds the problem.
