NT Bar president discusses Indigenous imprisonment

The president of the Northern Territory Bar Association, John Lawrence SC, has launched a scathing attack on state and federal governments, past and present, for what he described as "lamentable, shocking and disgraceful" incarceration rates for Aboriginal Australians. He was speaking on the 7.30 Report NT Edition following yesterday's media release by the Australian Bar Association, which called on the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to acknowledge and address the problem.
