"Bail is not punitive": Needham SC

President Jane Needham SC was quoted on ABC TV news last night in connection with the New South Wales Government's hasty efforts to amend the Bail Act. "People seeking bail generally haven't been convicted and therefore there's no need for punishment. Bail is not punitive", said Ms Needham.
