No demonstrated need for terrorism law reform: Law Council

The Law Council of Australia has issued a media release, questioning the need for the Australian Government's proposed changes to anti-terrorism laws.
"There is no demonstrated need for the government to rush legislation through the parliament without proper public scrutiny, where the legislation may be disproportionate, unnecessary or have unintended consequences", said the president-elect of the LCA, Mr Duncan McConnel.
