Cameras in court

11/09/2014

The New South Wales Parliament has passed the Courts Legislation Amendment (Broadcasting Judgments) Bill 2014, which creates a presumption in favour of allowing filming and broadcasting of final proceedings in criminal cases and judgments in civil cases in the Supreme and District Court of NSW, with some limited exceptions. Children’s Court cases and matters in the Supreme Court involving the care and protection of children cannot be filmed. Read Attorney General Hazzard's media release here.
