BarADR Recognised Accredited Mediators
Our BarADR approved mediators are highly trained and nationally accredited in mediation—a non-litigious means of resolving a dispute.
What is mediation?
Mediators seek to resolve disputes outside the courtroom through amicable, constructive, alternative negotiations. The mediator facilitates negotiation between both parties, helping each consider and devise ways to reach a mutually agreeable solution. The mediator affords all parties an opportunity to put forward their point of view and voice issues concerning them. The mediation takes place in private, and the session is always confidential.
Need a BarADR approved mediator?
If you need assistance through mediation, the Bar Association recommends using a barrister ADR practitioner, who is accredited by a Registered Accreditiation Provider (RAP) to act as a mediator under the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Standards (AMDRAS). Barrister ADR practitioners holding the necessary accreditation are eligible to be recognised by BarADR and included in the Recongised Accredited Mediators List.
