Tuesday, 26 November 2019

Are you a barrister who uses Dropbox to store your client’s files? Do you know your legal and ethical obligations when it comes to protecting confidential information and data online?

The Women Barrister’s Forum is proud to host a seminar on cyber security, privacy and technology. An expert panel including Kate Morgan SC, John Morgan, Partner, Clyde & Co, and Michelle Meares, Board Member, Electronic Frontiers Australia, will discuss the ethical obligations and practicalities of protecting sensitive client information and present an overview of the changing landscape of privacy law in the digital age.

The seminar will focus on cyber risks associated with data storage, business email compromises, ransomware, and digital risk mitigation. You will leave the seminar with a bag full of cyber security tips including an answer to the question: “Is Dropbox really safe?”.
