The New Barristers Committee presents a discussion with psychiatrists Dr Gordon Parker and Dr Michael Williamson on witnesses and trauma

In this online CPD, two preeminent experts will present on:  (1) Giving Evidence: Fake it to make it. How do we distinguish truth tellers from liars in the witness box?; (2) For new barristers, the patterns and warning signs of trauma – difficult clients, disturbing situations in case preparation particularly in criminal and family law; (3) In your first 5 years at the bar, the strategies for self-protection, prevention and treatment for negative psychological effects created by the nature of barrister work.
