Legal Aid NSW - changes to the Fee Scale for State Matters and to the Family Law Property Policy

As reported by In Brief earlier this month, the Legal Aid NSW Board has approved increases to the Legal Aid NSW Fee Scales for State Matters. The increase to fees applies to all State matters from 1 July 2020. Further detail is available on the Legal Aid NSW website here.

The Legal Aid NSW Board has also approved changes to the family law property policy to ensure people who are experiencing or at risk of domestic or family violence (DFV) and/or who have a disability can access grants of legal aid for property settlement matters. The changes apply to applications for legal aid determined on or after 20 July 2020. Further details are available here.
