How I (Finally) Overcame Perfectionism And Ditched Anxiety: Breaking Badly Author Georgie Dent in conversation Kate Richardson SC and Claire Palmer

21/10/2020

Webinar - Tuesday 27 October at 1pm

The Women Barristers Forum is delighted to host journalist, editor and author Georgie Dent on Tuesday 27 October at 1 pm. Georgie Dent will join Kate Richardson SC and Claire Palmer in conversation about perfectionism, anxiety and the law. Georgie is a prominent advocate for women’s empowerment, gender equality and mental health. Her best-selling memoir, Breaking Badly, was published by Affirm Press in May 2019 to critical acclaim. It documents Georgie’s decline towards the total breakdown that saw her admitted to a psychiatric hospital at age 24, as well as her recovery. The book, described as ‘brutally honest and warmly engaging’, covers chronic illness, mental health and the toxic pursuit of perfectionism. Annabel Crabb described it as ‘funny, shocking, beautifully written … a fascinating account of one woman’s hand-to-hand combat with her own mind.’

The lunchtime webinar will qualify for 1 CPD in the Practice Management and Business Skills or Ethics and Professional Responsibility.

This webinar is open to NSW Bar Association members and will be run by registration only. Numbers are limited. For further information, or to register for this event, please click here.
