Wellbeing
The NSW Bar Runners are still third on the donation page with only two days left until the marathon. The Wellbeing Committee encourages members to donate to the Katrina Dawson Foundation, the NSW Bar Runners chosen charity. Thank you to all of our fantastic runners, Arthur Moses SC, Cynthia Cochrane SC, Sarah Tiffen, Rebecca Wilson, Julian Trebeck and Patrick Larkin who are running and raising money for the foundation.
The half marathon will be held this Sunday, 21 May 2023. The race starts at 7.25am on Cahill Expressway (Corner of Macquarie and Bridge Streets) and is a mere 21.2kms in distance. Walk or run if you can! It is a great morning out to spend with your colleagues, family or friends and all for a great cause. There is also an option to run 10kms and this race starts at 6.30am.
The Katrina Dawson Foundation was set up in memory of barrister, Katrina Dawson and is about 'finding, funding and mentoring inspiring young women'. They are striving to remove barriers and create opportunities for exceptional young women to fulfil their potential. Ultimately, they aspire to build a wonderful network of Katrina Dawson Scholars and Fellows, who all know and support each other and who, individually and collectively, make the world a better place – just as Katrina did.
