2022 Netball Term

Match report & EOI sought: Round 2, Tuesday 22 March 2022
After a forfeit against us in Round 1, the Bar’s Mixed Netball team, ‘Full Court Bench’, is off to a great start for the 2022 Season with a convincing 11-2 win over the ‘LEK Lions’. Scott and Elly were defiant in defence, Felicity and Ada managed the mania of the mid-court by moderating the pace in bringing the ball down the court with Anton and Emily’s shooting success speaking for itself on the scoreboard!
Keen netballers will notice we were missing a team mate this week as there are usually seven on a court, but this time Court and practice commitments left us short. We were lucky enough to have a fill in from one of the other teams in the wings to get us over the line this week. If you’re keen to make sure we can take the netball court each week and would like to join the team, please email Captain, Emily Graham to join the ‘squad’. We play on Tuesdays at lunch time in The Domain. Even if you don’t want to play, we would welcome a cheer squad if you’d like to stop by on a lunch time walk. The court is above the car park and just opposite St Mary’s Cathedral School.
The Netball team is an initiative of the Wellbeing Committee. Connecting with colleagues at social events is an effective way to build a positive outlook, especially for those in the early years of practice at the bar.
