The NSWBA Flood Appeal Recital will be held on Thursday, 30 June 2022 at 6:00pm in the Sydney Conservatorium of Music featuring international pianist Alexey Koltakov and our own violinist Cameron Jackson.
Meet Alexey
Alexey is a former winner of the San Antonio International Piano Competition, was the runner up in the Hilton Head International Piano Competition and was a finalist in the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He has toured around the world and performed with renowned conductors James Conlon, JoAnn Falletta, Mykola Dyadyura, and Enrique Batiz.
Alexey's performances are described as legendary and he welcomes the opportunity to give his time doing what he loves for such an important cause. Click here to watch one of Alexey's talented performances.
In this recital, Alexey is playing with NSW barrister, Cameron Jackson, on violin. Alexey has a particular love for chamber music because of its personal and collaborative nature. Alexey and Cameron will explore the baroque to the romantic, playing the most magical of the Handel Violin Sonatas, Opus 1, Number 13, in D Major, Mozart’s playful Violin Sonata in G Major, KV301, and the mercurial and beautiful Brahms Violin Sonata No 1, in D Major.
The Recital
The purpose-built Conservatorium Recital Hall is just a short walk down Macquarie Street and offers all guests seats close to the performance. The venue is small and tickets are limited, so take this opportunity to watch Alexey perform, meet with colleagues, and demonstrate the profession’s support for the people of Northern NSW and Southern Queensland recovering from the flood.
For more information or to purchase a ticket please click here. Tickets are limited so purchase one before they run out.
All proceeds of the Recital will be donated to the St Vincent de Paul Society's Flood Appeal. To donate to the Flood Appeal, please click here.
