Sharyn Hall SC and Dr Robert Dubler SC appointed as Advocates for Change
29/07/2022
On 28 July 2022, President Gabrielle Bashir SC appointed Sharyn Hall SC as a NSW Bar Advocate for Change for LGBTQI diversity for a period of two years, and re-appointed Dr Robert Dubler SC as a NSW Bar Advocate for Change for accessibility for a further two year period.
The Association thanks Andrew Pickles SC for his leadership and service as the outgoing Advocate for Change for LGBTQI diversity.
The purpose of the Advocates for Change program is to provide role models who are excellent practitioners and who, through the example of what they do and say in their professional lives as barristers, represent the full width of diversity and inclusion that the NSW Bar Association wishes to promote at the Bar.
As Advocates for Change, Hall SC and Dr Dubler SC have agreed to participate in the formulation of strategies to promote equality, diversity and inclusion at the NSW Bar.
Hall SC and Dr Dubler SC join Lee-May Saw, Advocate for Change for cultural diversity and Anthony McGrath SC, Advocate for Change for gender diversity.
